P1 - The Coordinating organisation - Ayuntamiento de Alcalá de Guadaíra (City Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra):

The city Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra, with a population of 72.458 inhabitants (June 2010), is located in southern Spain in the region of Andalusia. The local government led by the Mayor, is organised into three areas of government, each chaired by a Deputy Mayor. Each area has executive and administrative powers in matters which are ascribed.

- Area of Strategic Policies, including the following departments: trade, economic development, training and employment, education and innovation, culture and flamenco, events, wealth and museum, tourism and environment.
- Area of Land and People, including the following departments: land and urban services, fire and rescue services, housing, mobility, youth, sports, governance, equality, social services, and volunteering.
- Area of Governance and Evaluation, including the following departments: local administration and taxes, local organization and participation.

During the last few years, just like what has happened at national and European level, unemployment has become the main preoccupation for the citizens of Alcalá de Guadaíra, reaching the number of 12.162 unemployed people in January 2014 (Spanish National Stats Institut).
In order to solve the problems of unemployment, the efforts of the city hall have been centred during the last few years on the development of programmes aiming at the creation of employment and at improving the employability especially of those from disadvantaged social groups.

P2 - Interactive English Language School

Interactive English Language School is a small, family owned and run English language school for adults providing English language tuition to non-native speakers of English.
Interactive English Language School mission is to provide low cost-high value English language training in the UK to people who may not be able to afford more expensive alternatives. Its main objectives are to bring together people of different cultural backgrounds in an open and nurturing environment, and break down barriers through the medium of English language.  

The classroom activities are designed following the principles of Active Learning, including discussions of cultural and national stereotypes, non-traditional lifestyles, and other subjects that are designed to encourage students to consider beliefs and opinions that may be contrary to those that they have encountered in their own communities. The intention is that all of the students, through contact with people from different cultures will come to appreciate lifestyles and beliefs that may be different from their own.

SIKXGNL represents 115 language learning centres in the prefecture of Larissa, Central Greece. The association is a member of The Panhellenic Federation of language school owners and cooperates with public authorities, universities and higher educational institutions. It was founded in 1974 to promote by any means, develop and improve language teaching and learning in Greece, to correctly teach languages to students, to conduct language tests on a nationwide scale in order to serve this target and to serve the objectives and interests of education in the field of foreign language teaching.
The association organises lectures, seminars and conferences, aimed at raising the professional and social consciousness of the members, as well as educational programmes and publish books, magazines and a newspaper with an informative, professional and scientific content.
SIKXGNL is also an active participant of The European Day of Languages aiming to alert the public to the importance of language learning to increase pluralism and intercultural understanding. It organizes events to emphasize the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe and encourages lifelong language learning.
P4 - Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA

Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA (literally SPRING Association) was established in 2001. It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote solidarity with socially excluded people, to mediate in the organization of assistance and create a civic society. The beliefs of the organisation is that in every person there is potential and its aim is to discover it.
The WIOSNA Association currently employs around 100 people in the head office in Krakow (people on contracts of employment and on civil law contracts).
Active cooperation with business and famous people recognised on a national scale i.e. actors, sportsmen, singers, journalists and politicians in the promotion of WIOSNA Association helps the organisation to reach a wide audience. Thanks to that the WIOSNA Association is one of the most recognised Non-Governmental Organisations in Poland.
WIOSNA’s main projects and activities are:
Noble Parcel Project (SZLACHETNA PACZKA). Implemented from 2001 is a nationwide campaign of Christmas aid organised since 2001 by Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA. Its main premise is the idea of providing direct aid so that it is effective, concrete and meaningful.
Academy for the Future (AKADEMIA PRZYSZŁOŚCI). Implemented from 2003 is a yearlong program of educational meetings for individual children growing up in difficult conditions who also have problems at school.

P5 - Cantiere Giovani

Cantiere Giovani was founded in 2001 with the aim of promoting a respectful behavior towards the other people and the perception of all differences as resource and opportunity to exchange ideas.
Cantiere Giovanni Is fostering new socio-cultural and educational opportunities at a local, national and international level. The purpose is to bring out the best in people, especially those with fewer opportunities: give them the opportunity to develop skills, take part to life-changing experiences, provide them with tools to realize their ambitions and hopes.
The organisation is composed by 7 full-time workers and 8 operators working on specific projects.
Cantiere Giovani runs the social center “Il Cantiere” in Frattamaggiore, aiming at fostering social inclusion and active citizenship of people through informal and non-formal education tools. It provides for school support to ESL (early school leavers) and adults in order to make them get school certificates. Cantiere Giovani organizes Italian classes for foreigners and eases their integration in the social tissue giving them informations, legal aid and involving them in its activities. Cantiere Giovani also runs a info job centre, giving assistance in finding a job.
Furthermore, it organizes information and sensitizations events, international mobility activities (more than 400 people involved from 2001) and is hosting/sending organization for International Voluntary Service.
